reflective, sensory, minimal
Chromatic Balance is a visual diary of moments that invite reflection and feeling, offering a gentle slowing down of everyday rhythm. The diary takes a form of digital photography and paintings centred around the interplay of light and hue, a balanced weight of colour. Each piece encourages viewers to breathe, reconnect with the world around to find the moments of inner stillness and the feeling of flow. Each evokes emotions, like the feeling of warm sun rays on skin, the relaxed vibe of the neighbourhood that draws in, a spatial view taking the breath away. We crave those moments of inner bliss as the world spins around us.
What brings memories to life like nothing else are collaborations on commissions. Through personalised experiences, these processes result in emotional art pieces supported by written, personal short stories.
CV EVE MIKO (b. 1979 in Poland) London eve.miko@me.com www.chromaticbalance.art https://www.instagram.com/evemiko.me/ Eve Miko (b. 1979 in Poland) is a London-based artist working primarily in painting. Her recent work comprises a series of digital photography and digital and oil paintings shaped by a longing for breaks in nature, a craving for spatial stillness, and a sensitivity to the fleeting atmosphere of a moment. The series takes form of a visual diary titled Chromatic Balance. Moody and contemplative in tone, the works trace the subtle interplay of light and shadow, where rays of light draw colour from otherwise muted spaces. Occasional portraits quietly recede, giving way to subjects that expand beyond the human figure, once central to her practice.
